I just wanted to let you know that your test is a bit inacurrate, and those are not the elements. The correct primary elements are Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Moon, and Sun.

how can you know someone's primary element, if you don't know they're birth hour? By primary element, do you mean the element that's most prevalent in their chart, or their day steam element? that would be good to clarify. fourpillars.net has a much more informative tool.

I have read somewhere that the primary element will be determine by the month of your BaZi.

This calculator tells you what your self element is, that is, the heavenly stem of your DAY pillar. This is not necessarily your most favorable or most dominant element.
For example, someone born on 6 March 2010 will be a Wood self because they are born on the Yin Wood Rabbit day.
To answer an earlier post, the hour is not required to determine this.
