Many people, especially Chinese people, consider 8 to be the luckiest number. The start date of Beijing Olympics was no coincidence – 08-08-08. Many in the western civilization consider 7 to be the luckiest number. You may have noticed casino slot machines with 777 as the winning numbers. But are these numbers really lucky for everyone? As it turns out, they may or may not be lucky for you depending upon your primary element and what attributes are needed in your life.
Why is number 8 considered lucky? Its origin is in Feng Shui which considers sectors of a house or office represented by numbers 1, 6, and 8 to be lucky. Out of these lucky sectors, during the 20 year period from 2004 through 2023, the sector represented by number 8 is the luckiest.

But this does not mean that number 8 is actually lucky for you. The chart on the left is called Lo Shu which specifies the colors and the numbers representing the elements. How a number affects a person is determined by that person’s primary element and its interaction with the element represented by the number. In this way, the numbers can enhance or contract some aspect of a person’s life. If the enhanced attributes are those needed in your life, then by enhancing those attributes, these numbers will make you more complete and bring you luck. If the enhanced attributes are not needed (since you may already have excess of them) then those numbers will be unlucky for you.

Lucky numbers will give you more of what you desire. So if you desire romance for example, you should find your primary element and then look under the primary element to see the numbers that enhance romance.

So, all the numbers are lucky for you if you need to improve an area in your life specific to that number; however they become unlucky if you already have too much of a specific category?
Example (Fire, Female) If my career is going well for me and I am at the top of my game does that mean I should steer clear of the #1 whenever I am doing something pertaining to my work?

Without knowing someone’s luck cycle, the only way to determine that person’s lucky numbers are by balancing the Ba Zi chart. Better predictions can be made once a person’s Ba Zi chart and luck cycle are known. For example, for a fire element person like you, the metal element is your wealth. If your luck cycle were on the metal element at some time, you wouldn’t need numbers 6 or 7. Instead, the fire element number 9 would be the luckiest for you at that time.

The numbers won't predict your luck, they would just help you enhance it a little. If you have choice of numbers (like in a phone number) you may want to use numbers that are lucky for you.
